Trust
Methodology
How numbers on the terminal are produced — and when they are labelled DEMO.
1. Trust labels
- LIVE — fresh response from connected market feeds with real listings
- CACHED — served from short-lived cache within TTL
- DEMO — catalog estimate when live feeds are thin when feeds are thin or offline (never silent)
- OFFLINE — probe failed
2. Fair market value (FMV)
FMV is a robust central tendency of filtered ask and/or sold prices (median after outlier scrub). Grade multipliers on the card desk adjust the band for PSA/BGS tiers — they are not separate sold books unless comps are grade-specific.
3. Decision verdict
BUY / HOLD / GRADE / PASS blends best ask vs FMV, sold density, estimated fees (grading + ship), and gem-rate context. It is a desk heuristic, not a guarantee. See Disclaimer.
4. Sentiment & history
Sentiment uses ask/sold counts, spread, and short momentum. Price history prefers dated sold comps; otherwise a labelled synthetic series anchors on FMV so the chart never pretends to be audited tape.
5. Corrections
Use Report bad price on a card desk or email [email protected]. Check live systems on Status.
